For us, play dough and finger paints are the biggest hits. Of course they are also the messiest.

Try to keep a regular schedule for meals and naps.

Toddlers don’t need a lot of toys but in general it’s fun for them to have
—vehicles, things with wheels
—blocks
—doll
—play dishes and pretend food
—shakers, drum
—books

Lots and lots of long “play baths.” Soap optional. Lots of toys in there.
