over/under on Trump ditching Pence for Nikki Haley?

MSNBC contributor and GOP strategist Steve Schmidt said Tuesday that he believes President Trump will replace Vice President Pence with former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley on his 2020 reelection ticket.

Schmidt said on "Morning Joe" that Haley has been angling to replace Pence on the 2020 ticket by defending the president in the press in recent days as she promotes her upcoming memoir "With All Due Respect."

"I think Mike Pence is probably hanging out back there, thinking, ‘Hey, I got 1 in 365 chance at picking the day that Trump’s going to dump me from the ticket and put her on some time in the next year,'" Schmidt said.

"She wants to be vice president. She wants to be vice president on the Republican ticket in 2020. And I think there’s an overwhelming chance that Trump will dump Pence to put Nikki Haley on the ticket because he has an enormous problem with women. Suburban women, particularly," he continued.

I think it's unlikely? I think? But she does seem to be kissing a lot of boot right now, and it's hard to see why other than she thinks something good is coming her way.

She's on a PR tour to sell her book which I look forward to reading. I love her as a candidate and will 100% support her and Hogan as a ticket - in the future. This may be shocking but, Trump will only be President through his next term with Pence at his side.

I'm sure the theory is that Evangelicals are his either way, but right now he's hemorrhaging women and has a chance of getting some of getting a few of them back if he has Haley
