| How pricey are they? I usually get my roots retouched and a cut. Thanks!! |

Not sure about root touchups but I just was there for full highlights and a haircut and it was $165. For first time customers she gives a 20% discount. I can't say enough about her. I've had a really hard time finding someone in the area that I like and I have been going to her for close to a year. Haircuts grow out fabulously and the color lasts a long time.
While he has never cut my hair, her brother Royston's clients always look great when I am there. I also get my eyebrows threaded by her. |
| Yes, I went to her for the first time about 6 weeks ago and was very happy. I felt like she really took the time to look at my face, hair, etc. and figure out what would look best on me. I got the 20% discount since I was a new customer and paid $140. I had full highlights done since I had not have them done in several months. What constitutes full highlights vs. partial? I think I always get full since I usually wait 2+ months before going again. |
| Thanks all! I am considering checking them out,. My current stylist while does a great color job, her cuts are lacking! She is also really slow!!! |
Full highlights is when they do all layers of your hair. Partial is when they only do the top several layers that you see when your hair is down - i.e., with partial if you pull your hair back in a ponytail, you will see your natural color and not the highlights around your face. I always request partial, but I once had a new stylist tell me that my former stylist was actually giving me full highlights. Very confusing! |
Thanks! How much cheaper is it for partial vs. full and if you do partial, how long do you wait before doing full again? My hair is not that dark, so even when it grows out quite a bit, the contrast is not that bad. I think I am too cheap to go as often as I would need to do partial!

I was the first responder about Rovina. When I initially started with her my hair was long (definitely could wear a pony tail) and in our consultation she recommended that I do full highlights that initial visit and then alternate between partial and full. I think in your initial consultation she would tell you what you would need.

I don't think that whether you get full or partial has any effect on how often you have to go. You're going to get the same visible roots either way. I go every 6-8 weeks with partials, sometimes I stretch it to 10 but by then it really needs doing. |
