DC started a private school this year and now has 7-9 teachers instead of 1-2.
What's the etiquette regarding Christmas gifts? Do you give presents to all of them or just the homeroom teacher? Is there a cap that's appropriate so it doesn't look like a bribe? $25? |
| My kids stopped in middle school when they had that many teachers. occasionally they would give something small to one if they really liked them. |
| What school OP? My children’s parochial school collects cash then gives it to the teachers. Ask around. |
We did the same. Once we went from one teacher to 7, that's when I stopped with the gifts. |

Early votes for Cards and Handwritten letters. This year, I admired a lot of student artwork so I already know that I’m getting drawings and cartoons.
Sorry for random capitalizations. The update effed up my phone. |
| I still send a nice gift to all. |
| The secretary at our school gave me the great idea of sending coffee pods to the staff lounge. It’s PK-8 school and my kids have/had nearly all the teachers there for homerooms, academic subjects or specials. I sent one giant box of Kcups in before Christmas with a card telling them to enjoy a morning boost in the last days before break and then sent another just in the start of the new year as a welcome back. It was more economical for me and everyone gave us lovely thank you cards for sending something they could all use and share. |
