RE or OB recommendation for lining check

Anonymous
We just moved to the area and plan to do a frozen egg transfer in the next three or four weeks with the clinic we used in our former hometown. We are temporarily in Pentagon City and then will move to the Huntington area. I will need to find a place to have my lining check and pregnancy test. Has anyone else traveled for transfer and done lining check and follow up locally? Do I need to go to an RE or will an OB do this? I have had trouble finding RE's in the area (my vehicle isn't here yet so I will take the metro or an Uber) - several in north Arlington and DC which is fine, just wondering if I'm overlooking some. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’d go to an RE, but if none is available, an OB is fine. Not all OBs have u/s machines.

I would definitely go to an RE. In fact I don't even know if an OB would do this. You could take the metro to GW. the stop is right there by the building.

GW is my home clinic. I moved to San Francisco and UCSF is where I got monitored while I lived there. And then when it was time for the transfer I flew to DC and GW did the transfer.

Call dominion fertility.

Yes, this. They are in Arlington on Ballston Metro. I was a patient at both GW and Dominion. Dominion is much more flexible and accommodating than GW was.

Definitely an RE. Even if the OB has an u/s machine they aren’t measuring linings often. I wouldn’t make $$ decisions off of that.

Dominion is a good option.

We used Columbia Fertility Associates and had a good experience. Monitoring appointments were pretty quick/easy.

Thanks so much for your replies, you have given me several good options to choose from!

OP here, just wanted to follow up for reference in case anyone has this question in the future. Of GW, Dominion, and Columbia, the only clinic that will do "satellite" monitoring is Dominion. At least that is what I was told when I made phone calls. It is probably different for those who are already established patients and then decide to travel for treatment.
