jcc family membership

Anyone knows how much it costs for jcc rockville family membership (DH & I, 4 year old plus 6 months old) yearly? Is it worth it? We are not gym person, but I hear that their pool is nice & their classes/camps are quite good (when my oldest goes to k).

I think it’s about $125/month for everything. They have good classes, including after school activities for kids. If you think you might use it, get a three day trial (they used to offer this) or join for a few months to see.

We’ve belonged for years but I don’t know if it would be “worth it” especially if you aren’t using the gym or exercise classes. The pool is nice but unless you are the kind of family that would go off season, it might just be cheaper to belong to a neighborhood pool. You do get a registration priority when signing up for classes but honestly I don’t think most of them are so popular that you couldn’t get in as a non-member (you do also get a discount but again that alone is not worth the membership fee). You can get into camp as a non-member too.

They would be glad to give you a tour so I would go and check it out.

13:51 again. They offer summer membership too, so that might be a way to go if your main interest is the pool.

Why don't you look up the price online? It's on their website.

Np. It sounds like op is looking to hear about others experiences and thoughts on value of membership. We’ve been members for years. The outdoor pool is open year round. Our kids do free swim indoors and take swim lessons. We take advantage of various opportunities. It’s a nice community. Also you need to have a family membership to sign up for camp which my kids enjoy immensely

Our kids go to the camp and we are not members. The registration does open a week earlier to members, but we’ve never had a problem signing up nor have any of our non-member friends. Every year we do debate if it would be worth joining. Our neighborhood has a pool and access is included in our HOA so it never really made sense for us.
