Infertility Support and Discussion

Has anyone had experience with a prior cone biopsy and pregancy implications?
I just learned that this procedure could lead to an incompetent cervix. I had one over ten years ago as a teen, and I don't remember this impact being discussed. I'm going to discuss with my doctor, but wanted to also reach out here. Hoping to be a mom someday and freaking out about this. |
| I have 3 friends who had cone biopsies in their early 20's. All 3 have 2 kids with no complications. I'm not saying that is a guarantee, but hopefully this will be your case. I think doctors will just consider you more high risk and do more measurements of your cervix. Definitely ask your doc. |
| Thank you so much for the encouragement. I can't believe I didn't know this before last night- just stumbled upon it and was so upset. |
| I had one, I think a couple of years before I got pregnant. It was no big deal. My doctor didn't even mention it afterwards. I wasn't considered high risk or anything, no extra steps taken. |
