I am interested in attending this but I can't find anything on their website about a rain dates? If I buy for a specific day now and it ends up raining can we get a refund or attend another day? there isn't any email, FAQ or number to ask this question. Its look like fun but I am assuming like everything in DC it will be insanely packed, oversold and huge lines for everything even once inside. Anyone been before? |
This is the first year it’s been done in DC. |
Read Yelp reviews for Enchant Seattle last year.
We decided to pass on this. |
Note that Seattle’s stadium is covered so no rain cancelation experience there. |
Thanks for this tip. This sounds insanely bad. |
Ditto the appreciation for the yelp tip. bummer.
I was in Vienna one year for work after xmas and they had this super neat skating "river" (long winding area you skated one direction through) plus lots of lights and cocoa/xmas treats/etc. Thought it would be kind of like that at first glance but sounds more like the other holiday stuff in this area - everything is WAY oversold and underdone so that it's both too expensive and not as impressive as you'd think it should be (case in point the xmas market in DC - went last year and were totally bummed by the bad set-up and limited options). |
Google reviews seem pretty good actually and lots of the complaints are things about first day issues which I doubt will happen again |
You can get tickets and find out, or fret and miss an opportunity. |
So many free Christmas events in this area. Most of the trendy paid ones turn out to be overpriced and not that cool, in my experience. |
What free things do you recommend? I’m new to the area. |
One of the annoying problems with the area is that nobody keeps a really good comprehensive master list of Things to Do for Christmas.
The one shining lightbulb I've found is Holly's website, which lists megawatt Christmas displays in striking distance of Fairfax County. http://www.fairfaxchristmaslights.com/ Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/78416849024/ |

Like what? Honestly unless you mean church hosted activities, I can only think of one my town does. And I am not posting about that event here since it is sweet and nice and only attended by people in our town - and I do not want it over run with people from all over!! ![]() Ok - I guess the National Xmas tree too although that is not that great. Any others I can think of that are non-church cost money. |
Maybe they mean the ice thing at the Gaylord ? |
