My 5 year old daughter has asked for a science birthday party. Does anyone have any reviews of the companies that come to your house? We are in Arlington. |
Just do your own. Easy. |
Eric Energy is awesome |
It would be a hike, but Badlands usually has STEM sorts of things.
You can also just find some fun and easy science activities online and do them at your house, especially if you don't have that many kids coming. |
I would prefer to have someone come and lead a formal session but thanks. |
What age group did your attend one of his parties? |
Mad science is great. They serve DC, MD and NOVA and set up everything at your house. You can even request a female scientist if that's something your DD would like.

We just had a Mad Science birthday party and it was awesome! |
I know you asked about coming to your house, but we went to a 6 year old's party at the Children's Science Center at Fair Oaks Mall and my daughter loved it! |
Ive seen him twice, once for preschool audience and once for older kids |
It was quite a while ago, but DD loved her Mad Science party, and I thought they did a good job. |
Not the OP, but this looks great! I'm going to bookmark it as an option for DD's 4th birthday next year. |
We did a Mad Science party for our 5 yo daughter last year and the kids loved it. We got them all kid-sized lab glasses and made them pretend lab coats out of men's undershirts -- they had a blast. |
We did Eric energy and he was fantastic. Very entertaining. |
