Free or inexpensive indoor birthday party venue near Chevy Chase, DC?

We're looking for an indoor venue to hold a 5th birthday party. We're on a budget, so somewhere free or cheap would be great. Preferably in or near Chevy Case, DC. Thanks in advance!

I assume your house or apartment is out?

I wonder if you could rent a room at one of the libraries or at the Chevy Chase Rec Center? Those might be the cheapest options.

Free - if you can keep the kids reasonably controlled reserve the big room at the library

Low cost indoor parties - Wilson pool with the party room.

Norwood Park in Chevy Chase, MD. There's a building you can rent adjacent to the park for parties. It's very reasonable.

The Friendship Heights rec center has two rooms for rent IIRC.
