Does anyone have experience with the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) Winter Training?
https://www.msysa.org/programs/winter-indoor-training/ I would appreciate any comment anyone might have on the quality of this training before I register for my 11 year old DD. I’m looking for a travel level training and not for beginners. Thank you. |
| My son did it last winter - a few sessions out in Odenton and one in Rockville. He was 8 (U9) and really liked it, meaning he felt he had good training. There were definitely enough skilled players where it didn't feel like a "Beginners" program. They ran the drills well and really engaged and talked the kids through what they were doing. They went around to the breakout groups when they practiced and there were a lot of opportunities to apply the skills taught that day in the scrimmages. They split the groups into a younger crowd and an older crowd, so your 11 year old would be with the older crowd. I didn't pay specific attention to them, but I would think the same applies to that group. I think the $30/session is good for what I saw as well and will likely sign my son up again for a few. |
Thank you so much!! I had no idea they had this in Rockville before. |
| My U12 DD will is registered and has been playing travel for 2 years. It’ll be her first time. |
Hope your DD is doing it at Rockville. |
No, she’ll be at Wheaton. Have you heard anything about the other sites? |
No. This will her first time too. |
