A 23-year-old woman in Arkansas lost her father four years ago, but she continued to text his phone every day to update him about her life. She never got a response from the number, until this week.

| It's creepy that he continued to read her messages for 4 years and never told her to stop. And yes, she's stupid for putting personal information out there. |
PP here. Maybe I'm cynical, but the wrong person could've tried to blackmail her or blasted her messages on social media. Also, I m not 100% sure this isn't made up for attention. This will be the new way to go viral. |
| It is sad that you have to stomp on the little ray of sunshine that someone is desperately searching for. Sometimes it does not matter if it is real or not, there is very little rational thinking in grief. What matter most is a little hope that not all of the loved one died and that one can somehow keep in touch. Is it too much to handle for some of the posters really? |
| Ok, you text a random person with all of your personal thoughts for 4 years and let me know how that works out for you. I hope there's a decent human being on the other end for you. |
lol what? Her dead father is not reading some rando's text messages. She's lucky that she didn't get burned by this. |
It already happened. Nobody is suggesting to do anything like that. It was not the smartest choice but it already happen so how bout not raining n her parade? Truly. |
I doubt I am raining on her parade as she is not here. I'm pointing out how dumb this was before some genius on here decides that texting personal info to a dead relative is a good idea. |
| This is so fake. |
But it’s on the Internet so it must be true! |
| Most of these responses make me glad for Ms. Patterson that her father’s number didn’t get assigned to a DCUM poster... |
| Creeeeeeeeepy |
+1. What a bunch of miserable sad sacks. |
This is most definitely fake. |
