Ticktalk watch with Red Pocket mobile?

I don't want to get a smartphone for 9 yo dd but am considering getting the TickTalk watch as an alternative. When I'm on the product page for the watch, it takes me to red pocket mobile which can apparently be used to have an inexpensive service plan for it.
If you've got this, do you recommend it? |
