We met Midge Purce and Britt Eckerstrom https://www.timbers.com/players/britt-eckerstrom in Portland this summer. They were super nice to my kids and they all four bonded as former MSI rec players. Midge is from Olney and Britt is from Germantown. The Thorns coach is a former Washington Spirit coach as well. |

Good start to a list but oh goodness, there's a ton especially if you're including high level college players. Maryland was also way over-represented with players called up to the national team. I'd add Joe Gyau is from Silver Spring and plays for Cincinnati and has been called up to the USMNT. |
