Baking with pasteurized egg substitute?

Anonymous
Has anyone made cookies using a pasteurized egg substitute? If so, what did you use and how did they turn out? I want to make roll-out sugar cookies with my just turned 3 year old and I know he won't be able to resist eating the batter. Thanks!

I haven't made cookies with egg substitute -- only cake and quick breads. However, I have used pasteurized eggs before. You can find them at some grocery stores. They are called Safe Choice or something like that. I can't remember.

Not the PP, but based on the info she provided, I found Davidson's Safest Choice Eggs are sold at Harris Teeter. Probably best to call ahead to make sure they have them at your particular store.
