Shipping a car

| Does anyone have a recommendation for shipping a car cross country? We have a 10 year old car and are trying to figure out if it is worth shipping it when we move or if we should just sell it. |

| Most of the time you deal with a broker who deals with many drivers. Call one or two and get an estimate. I’ve shipped from Chicago to south Florida for about $1000. It could be twice that to the west coast. If the car is in great shape with reasonable mileage it could be worth shipping it. |

Hire a driver and buy them a return plane ticket.
It'll be cheaper than shipping, and you get your car exactly where/when you want it. This is really the only way that doesn't involve any inconvenience on your part. |
