| First time travel soccer parent. Haven't heard from our team manager but I need to make a plan to travel to todays game asap. Ncsl site doesn't have field as closed and it looks like it is turf? |
| Yes. I wish they didn’t! Ha! |
Generally yes. Only if lightning is likely or occurring will game be cancelled on turf. |
|
All turf fields games on turf are on during rain except when there’s lightning. It’s going to be miserable in cold rain like today. Bring change of clothes and shoes so your DC can immediately change right after the game.
Us adults hates it but most of the kids doesn’t mind playing in the rain. |
| Yes. |
This is going to suck. |
| Yep. Sitting in the car at a turf HS. It’s pouring. Unfortunately, the field isn’t visible from the parking lot. |
| Pro tip: bring a few extra towels in the car! |
| Trash bags for their soccer bag so it’s not wet and their phone won’t sit in rain. Miserable for parents in days line today. |
Friends don't let friends sit in weather pods. Maybe little kids but never an adult! Come on now! : ) |
Agree. I call them “douche pods”. Those adults probably wear Crocs too. |
| I don’t think anyone would want other parents to call you “Bubble Boy” by sitting in those pods. |
