what times?
I'm talking about the cheap ones, not the clearblue advanced that specifies first morning urine. Thanks! |
| At wake up and after work (6 am and 6 pm) |
| Usually 2 pm and bedtime. |
+1 to this. |
| 6 am? Seems like all the advice is to NOT do this? |
Why? I've always read that it doesn't matter with OPKs |
The package insert should tell you the ideal times. The reality for me was that I didn't want to test at work, so the options were right when I woke up and after I got home. Neither of these are the recommended times but this schedule worked for me the first month. Have you tried the strips for a while and not had success? If you can test at the recommended times do it. If not, try the less-than-ideal times for a few months and see what happens. If it doesn't work then try testing at the recommended times. |
| I'd test when I woke up (7am) and if it looked close, I'd test again at work around 9am or so. Then sometimes at 3pm or in the evening, depending on if I thought the surge was close. I did learn mine is short, only a few hours so that was the best way for me to feel confidant I caught it and was charting/trying correctly. I had years to learn this (sadly). |
