I got one off Amazon. Burlington online was the only other real option I found that was reasonably priced. They didn't have any instore for kids.

Macy’s has boys’ suit separates up to size 20.

What size is the 14 year old ? You may be able to find something in men's that can easily be altered ?

Nordstroms has them in the boys section

+100 - it's the only place we've found that has variety of options for that age. Frankly, it is the only reason that I step foot in the place because I am so angry that nothing has been built there since the lawsuit.

My DH recently was at Men's Wearhouse and I had him check because DS is growing out of kid's options. They had men's options going down to a 28 and 30 inch waist.

Just got 14 yr old DS one at Target. The jacket was $75. I thought that was a lot for Target, but it sees like ok quality.

Go cheap. Second hand if you can. Your kid must try it on with his instrument. Play something. It has to be comfortable because he can be sitting in it for a couple of hours. Same with shirt. Generally it will be a bit bigger than he would otherwise wear. The fit does not have to be great. The audience will be a distance away. Comfort is the thing. I would add a decent fitting (loose) bow tie is also needed.

I've gotten a bunch of boys suits on Amazon (from China). They are great and my son always gets compliments.

Macys, go for Bar III brand (good for this age)

A second vote for Nordstroms boys' section.
