Infertility Support and Discussion

I had a day three transfer last Friday. Shady Grove put back 2 grade A embryos. I know, rationally, that I should be happy and relieved that I made it this far, but I have managed to stress myself out thinking that a day five transfer would be better and the "ideal" situation. The doc had said that there wasn't a good indication for doing a day 5 transfer (didn't have loads of extras growing and we weren't planning on transferring one embryo, mainly). I know I should trust that my doctor and the embryology team to know what is best, but I just can't shake this feeling and don't want to spend the rest of my 2WW worrying about this.
Any thoughts, opinions, stories about your transfer would be much appreciated. |

Day 3 transfer with 2 grade A embryos. I am going to pick up my one year old son now.
|
| My Day 6 transfer of one blastocyst was a BFN. I'm currently pregnant with a singleton from a day 3 transfer of 2 grade A embryos (one 8 cell and one 7 cell). Good luck! |
| the only time i've been pregnant is with a day 3 transfer. both day 5 transfers did not work for me. |

We are 20 weeks pregnant with twin daughters from 2 3 day embryos.
All the best OP!! |
| One thing my doctor at SG (Dr Widra) told me that I try to repeat to myself when I get stressed/discouraged is "you don't have to have a textbook perfect cycle to have a baby." Good luck to you!!! |
| Day 3 transfer here at SG with 2 embryos (5-cell and 7-cell). I'm due in June with twins! |
Ditto this exactly----I'm about to deliver a SG baby from one really crummy embryo that none of us thought would hang around. If you don't have a reason to "weed" out excess embryos (i.e. you don't have a ton) then the best place for embryos is in your uterus for sure. Best of luck! |
| I had a day 3 transfer of a single 8 cell embryo from NC-IVF and I felt the same way as OP, but the best place for a developing embryo is in your uterus, nature's incubator is better than manmade one. |

I had M/C with 5 day transfer. The 3 day transfer is 16 months old.
So 5 day is not always better. |
| OP again--thanks to everyone for your responses and support. |
| My day 3 transfer is sleeping upstairs in her crib (5mo). Best wishes to you! |
