Howard is in Washington D.C. That's all you need to know. Great school but yes, there are mice in most urban college dorms. Students aren't the most adept at keeping food stored away. If I was a rodent, any campus would be heaven.

For what its worth, Harvard Business School had a lot of mice running around when I was there. It's on the Charles River so not uncommon.

Not sure about the dorms, but at Chicago much of off-campus housing has mice.

It is urban. That’s all. My Columbia dorm had mice and roaches.
