ear piercing

Anonymous
Last year my DD5 had an infection (which I posted about) in her ears after her ears were pierced. It was an ordeal and we had to take the piercings out. It was traumatic for me as her mom because she had to have her ears lanced, screaming bloody murder, etc.. This year my DD6 is in the same class as one of her class friends from last year. My DD's birthday was the other day and her class friend gave my DD clip on earrings. Cute or not in your opinion?

They're clip on. I don't understand the problem. I think it would be fine.

Clip ons tend to be really tight and leave indentations. I am not a fan.

Well I was curious to know if you all thought it was a thoughtful gift orchestrated by her class friend's mom who knew about the ear piercing reaction last year? It was also not store bought but a pair that her DD had "never" used. They are just cheap plastic clip ons. But do you think it was a strange choice?

If it was just a thoughtful something the child brought to class for your DD, then yes, cute. If that was the gift given at a full blown birthday party, then no.

Yes, why are clip-ons still so crazily tight?
