Curious if anyone has done this with no problems or thinks this is a bad idea. I am torn--also would be bringing a toddler. I was kind of thinking on last hurrah before next baby came since I know it's hard to travel with two while they are both under two. Thoughts or ideas? If it matters, I would pay a good price for the right experience. Thanks! |
Yes, I would go until 35 weeks or so. |
I went when I was 25 weeks. Also have a toddler. It will be fine as long as you protect yourself from too much sun. It was a great week for me. |
I went to Aruba when I was 14 weeks pregnant. It was fine, except I was still having a little morning sickness and couldn't enjoy any tropical cocktails. ![]() |
Definitely.
I am jealous!!! ![]() |
Yes. Yes. Yes! Have fun. |
I sent to St. John with my 2 year old when I was 24 wks pregnant. Not a problem whatsoever!!!! |
The sunis not a problem in pregnancy, as a matter of fact, it is good. Lots of women are pregnant in the Carribean, with good outcomes.
The bigger issue is with the toddler. Just make sure that he/she does not put things in mouth that can cause illness. |
We went to Cab when i was 25 weeks pregnant. It was so nice to get away. Might be a little tougher with a toddler who wants to run everywhere but perhaps DH wouldn't mind running around as well! The warm weather will make you feel good! Have fun! |
I went to the caribbean when i was 30 weeks pregnant with my first . It was wonderful, minus the cocktails as stated above. It was very nice to spend some time with my husband. When i had my second, we traveled with our 20 month old to FL. Enjoy! |
I'd cancel the trip if my morning sickness were really bad. (And if you think that is silly, you don't know what "really bad means.)
Otherwise, I wouldn't think twice - GO! |
i'd go but not after 28 weeks! i know several people who have either gone early unexpectedly or had problems. i'd stay in us if i were you. florida or somewhere. it is not worth the risk. you can always go post baby. |
If you are worried about the staying near the US, go to St. Thomas or Bahamas. Otherwise, live it up. We went on a babymoon and had such a great time and swimming in the Carribean while pregnant was fantastic. Enjoy yourself, there will be plenty to worry about soon! |
Went to the Carribean at 24 weeks with 20 month old toddler. Was absolutely wonderful. Just remember lots of sunscreen for the Tot!
PS the virgin pina colados are great on a hot day! |
We went to Mexico when I was 5 mos. pregnant and it was great. I was hotter than normal in the sun so I spent most of my day sitting on the pool steps to keep cool but otherwise, did nothing different! Enjoy! |
