One or two new tires?

| Our 2018 Camry got a flat tire yesterday. Should we just replace one tire or buy two new tires? The car has 18,000 miles. Thanks. |

Operative questions are how many miles do the tires have and how's the tread. Generally, especially for AWD, if you replace one tire, you should replace all four. |

Fix it if you can - 15 min job/20$ at a gas station. Is nail in the middle part of tire or more to the side?
If not, change both and keep the old one as a full size spare. |

Assuming the factory hankook tires are still on the other three, the tire had a 70K tread life warranty. so youa re 25% of the way into the life of the tire.
Id opt to replace two. or buy one tire and have it shaved down so its the same dimensions as he other tires. (important for AWD) the manufacture has a road hazard warranty. so you may have a coverage for the road hazard, so check you owners manual and warranty stuff... if the hole is not near the sidewall, I would patch/plug from the inside. |

| If it cannot be repaired, my understanding is that you need 2 tires do that the wear will be even. Or at least that’s what we were told re. DH’s Acura sedan. |

I replaced just one tire on my honda crv and the tire sensors keep going off because of the slight difference in tread. I think it looks at all four tires for honda, so you might want to look into how toyota does it.
I'd only replace the one, unless the tires are pretty worn. |

just good info to have as more and more cars are becoming AWD. while the 2018 does not have an AWD option. have tires of the same circumference on the drive wheels is important. |
