GDS Waitlist

Anyone know if this is a "real" waitlist, or if everyone not accepted gets on it?

i believe it's a real waitlist (ie not everyone gets on it) -- i actually called and asked them this question last year when my kid got waitlisted. but the odds of a space opening up? small...

I've heard the opposite. They rarely reject anyone and rarely take anyone off the waitlist.

Rarely reject? Do you mean accept?

No I mean they accept the number they need to fill their class and they waitlist everyone else. It's considered a "soft rejection". They rarely outright reject anyone. Occasionally you hear about that one family that got off the waitlist, but it's not common.
