Repairs @ dealer. Pricing of location on par w real estate prices?

I need some electric work done on my Qx60. Fortunately an honest repair shop said electronic repairs should be done by the dealer.

I kind of want to go to the closer in shop so I can enjoy the neighborhood, versus feeling stranded in auto dealer row.

Rent higher for in town. Would in town repairs cost more (so they can over rent)

Go to the dealer. Electronics can easily be messed up.

If they are both dealers then they probably charge the same if they are in the same area. I doubt you will get a discount for going to Chantilly or whatever.

Just comparing 2 Toyota dealers near us (not in DMV) one is cheaper and finds less things wrong with the vehicle than the other one but they also take more time to do the repairs. So it depends do you want to spend more to get the repairs done quicker or spend less but wait longer. The cheaper dealer also applied coupons automatically too. We usually went to the cheaper one.

Just call them and ask them what they charge and if they have any coupons right now. This isn’t hard.
