I recently updated my Google Maps. The orange traffic camera location icons are no longer showing up on Google Maps. Wtf?!?
I use Apple CarPlay, so this was pretty important to me. I now need to use Waze, if I want to know the locations of cameras. Waze has become utter garbage and cluttered with ads. Did this happen to anyone else? Any ideas on how to restore the traffic cameras to Google Maps? |
I’m reading reviews that the newest update to google maps also eliminated turn-by-turn audio directions.
Wtf. Are they trying to destroy Google Maps?!?! |
Here’s an idea: stop speeding. |

If you live in DC then you'd know there are tons of cameras set up as literal cash grabs so it's not everyone intentionally speeding through slow zones. |
Use WAZE |
I use Android...it still has them... |
Go die in a fiery crash, hunny buns. |
No, there are not. They are there for safety and have improved safety. I'd be happy to have the money sent to help poor children in Bangladesh, but thats probably not going to happen. |
Safety, my keister. There was just a news report that they overcharged thousands of people and refuse to give back the money in DC. Red light cameras increase rear end collisions. Speed cameras are concentrated on commuter routes. Both are government gangster rackets operated for a profit by big corporations. |
+1 If you truly believe they are only about safety than I encourage you to drive certain stretches of 295 at what you assume is the posted speed limit. Good luck! |
Waze is a dumpster fire of pop up ads and logos for fast food chains. Absolutely horrendous and clutter filled screen - it’s actually now fairly dangerous and it’s difficult to discern routes on Apple CarPlay. |
You don’t really believe this - has to be a troll. Complete money grab |
