Infertility Support and Discussion
Pre-pregnancy, I always ovulated around Day 13. I'm ttc again and am charting and finding that now I'm ovulating on Day 19 or 20. I'm 36 and worried that I'm now producing "geriatric" eggs. Anyone know why I'm consistently ovulating so late in my cycle now?
hmm, same thing happened (or, is happening) to me. used to be 28 days for YEARS, now, 15 months post-baby, im more like33 days. maybe normal for post baby? not to worry!
cycles change post-pregnancy. they can become longer or shorter. i asked my doc about it and he said it was perfectly normal.
I have never heard of a correlation between ovulating late and your eggs being old. I wouldn't worry about it....my dr said that any cycle length between 26-35 days is considered very normal.
Well, women who are nearing peri-menupause do tend to start ovulating either earlier (like day 9) or later (day 17). But OP is only 36 - you're likely a long way away from that!
Thanks everyone for the reassurance. Good luck to all TTC!
