And he prefers to buy us American assembled. This is assembled in Kansas.
|
| Your husband sounds like an idiiot who doesn't understand global supply chains or cars. Or even what the term pretentious actually means. |
| I think it’s cute and agree that it’s less pretentious than the predictable cars you mentioned above. |
|
If he is trying to play the "not trying to show off" card, why is he buying a Chevrolet Equinox with Cadillac badges?
It's tacky, and stupid |
| Mercedes is made in sc. American made cars are junk. Drive what you want. |
|
The Mercedes GLE and GLS SUV's are assembled in Vance, Alabama.
All BMW SUV's: X3, X4, X5, X6, X7 are assembled in Greer, South Carolina. |
? This is much smaller. Come with leather and safety features not avail on a Chevrolet. Better engine, better transmission. Better dealer service. |
Lol, perfectly said. |
| They're all tacky and pompous. |
| Ugly AF |
| My BMW was assembled in SC. |
| Buy a Toyota. Made in the us and better car. |
And yet a global supply would imply that the problem is being assembled in America. |

I have a nine year old Cadillac that has never had a repair. I did tires two years ago and brakes last week for first time.
I owned a five series very reliable but Maint was very expensive. I owned a Mercedes had repair issues plus maint expensive Oil changes, batteries, brakes, air filters all cheaper Cadillac Downside is the Caddie has worse resale. However that makes it a much better purchase used. I bought my Caddie 20 months old with 5k on odometer In mint condition. A very slightly used Cadillac is an amazing buy. Don’t waste money on a CPO Cadillac as there four year old warranty covers everything so any used Cadillac still in warranty is in perfect shape mechanically BTW Japanese and German cars made in America the profit in cars still go to Japan or Germany |
So there aren't 4,000 to 5,000 Americans in Kansas making ~$80,000 per year each to assemble this mini SUV? What exactly are you on about. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_Fairfax_Assembly_Plant |
