Why are elderly women in MoCo such nasty drivers?

| Yes, I am generalizing, but there were so many instances that they are just terrible human beings. I am not talking 50, I am talking older, they look at least over 70, possibly 80. Example, I am driving pretty far away behind a car, not tailing at all. Car stops in the middle of the road, I safely stop, no stop sign, no red light, one lane in one direction. I can now see it is a she, she turns around, cars behind me stop like nuts... and looks back and flips me off, and stays in the road for minutes, blocking traffic. Eventually she pulls to the side and as I pass her proceeded to roll down her window and scream at me. I was not tailing, at all. Maybe her vision was bad? This was so random and weird. Another example, I am walking behind a car in the grocery store parking lot, and the car starts backing out into me. Almost hits me. I gesture, hey, please pay attention. Slightly younger, but still elderly woman in the car. I get to my car, start pulling out, and she is in front of my car, blocking my car, with her car, window down and yelling at me, that she didn't almost hit me, how dare I, she was going slow on purpose not to hit me! She actually calls 911 on me, while blocking me. At this point I have people coming to help me out! Am I going to end up like them? What is this about? |

Maybe not. But if you live till that age your reflexes will be slower, your ability to multi-task weaker, your list of health issues that might impact you daily longer, and your prefrontal cortex less effective. Social factors aside, that is a lot to overcome. |

I am definitely spouting off against them, based on my experience, and I said I am generalizing. But, they are nasty in other instances too, in coffee shops, in grocery stores, in malls. If it gets deleted whatever. I am wondering what leads to them thinking they can abuse anyone and everyone they want. So, in your opinion elderly women in MoCo are kind and nice drivers? |

There are elderly men drivers who go slow and steady and I respect them in traffic, there are elderly drivers that don't flip you off and run you over for no reason and then there are these shrews. |

Yes, I concur. MD drivers are terrible, but this is, even for me, a whole new level of nasty. |

Yeah, and? If I can’t safely drive and can no longer act like a decent human while driving, I won’t drive any more. Just like I’ve accepted that I can no longer do cartwheels or live through a night of tequila shots. |

So I will all of a sudden decided to yell at people I almost run over, as opposed to apologize in horror at what almost happen? I will call 911 and block people that I almost backed into while they were walking? No doubt my time to be old is coming, but that doesn't explain how elderly women, yes it is white women always, and not elderly men are jerk when they endanger traffic. |
