2019 PARCC Scores in MCPS Drop?

I'm surprised that there hasn't been a thread on this. The Sun published the PARCC scores again. Some of the MCPS schools seem really low or had big drops. The Ws are all still high but the others seemed to not do well.

Except if the drop is far enough it will drop the school's GS ranking. MCPS hates to see its rankings drop. There will be inevitable articles about the further decline of MCPS. Buyers will take more MCPS schools off their lists and property values suffer.
Plus it makes no sense that some schools cared and others just chose not to care. This is like a kid who trie out for a team and doesn't make saying afterwards that he didn't really want to make it anyway. No one believes this. |
