| If you only have 2 mature follicles , and they converted your cycle to IUI, is that normal? Why wouldn't they go ahead and try to retrieve since DOR likely won't get a ton and have a track record of only getting a few and your have unlimited retrieval insurance coverage. Just seems wrong. |
| that's what i've heard of happening to others with DOR that i know. but sometimes yeah, i think they do go ahead with a retrieval with two follicles if they know from previous cycles that's all you're going to get. |
| I think it depends. I'm DOR and a proven poor responder and GW converted to IUI for one follicle but would have gone to retrieval for two. I would trust them, GW is the best in the area for DOR hard cases. Did you ask why? Do you have insurance that only covers a limited number of cycles? |
| I have no idea. I’m sorry. I had DOR, and I did natural cycle. Got very lucky on the first try. Can you ask them to just retrieve those two? |
|
It is about success rate. You should go to Dominion Fertility, they retrieve whatever number of follicles. My sister got two under stim protocol and one became her son.
But you look at their SART rate it is very low. Usually they are last resort for DOR. |

I'm jealous that I don't even have that option to convert to IUI due to MF, and I have DOR. Your RE will probably tweak your protocol given this results, so nothing is lost I believe.
