I am 39 and in reasonably good shape. I like the look of leggings - would probably wear them with riding boots or flats and a long tunic or sweater.
Am I too old? |
No I am your age-- go for it. Looks great if you are in good shape. |
Agree, it looks good if you are in shape. |
I am overweight, but work out regularly, and I wear them. I'm a size 14. The key is to pair them with the right shirt. |
Wear them if your legs are great and if you want to show them off. Balance them with appropriate tops and shoes. |
No. You are not Lindsay Lohan |
Everyone - young and old - wore them in the 80s. So I say go for it, OP. PP, how old are you? |
I think its too trendy and too young a look. I think it has a potential to look too wannabe-ish |
I really only like them with a very classy sweater think cashmere and covering the bottom, a wrap style, etc. and nice riding type boots. |
Why couldn't you wear them with a dress? I saw a fabulous woman today in her 40's wearing black leggings with a black dress and black heels. She looked great.
As long as you wear something that shows off your assets, fits your personal style and is part of an outfit that is overall age-appropriate, go for it! |

35. wear them with dress and boots to work most days. totally fine. |
Fine with a dress if you have the right figure. Or the Eileen Fisher look too, if you are bigger. I think a woman can do the dress thing with leggings if she is an apple. A pear, it would only emphasize her larger bottom half. |
Leggings are not limited to anorexics. |
Shudder. |
