We live far out in Virginia; off I-66 at exit 44 (close to where Jiffy Lube Live is)
In a few months we will need to take a train from Union station in DC, and it's on a Sunday morning (around 9 am) so the VRE isn't an option. Unfortunately, driving and parking up there will also not be an option. Are Uber/Lyft drivers typically willing to drive long distances like that? On a Sunday morning, I'm guessing it will take about 45 minutes-1 hour. |
Sure. I've taken ubers to/from BWI which is an hour. I also have periodically taken uber 90 miles.
Yes, but it's possible that you might have to wait longer to find a ride than if you lived in the city or if you were going a short distance. Either give yourself some extra time for a delay in pickup or schedule a ride in advance, either through a traditional taxi service or through Uber: https://www.uber.com/newsroom/scheduledrides-4/
I’ve taken a car from Bethesda to just outside of Newark. Luckily it was for work so not out of my pocket.
Both Uber & Lyft offer scheduled rides. I’ve done it before and it works fine.
Call and schedule a taxi the night before. Not unusual at all.
