| So I know there are a lot of leagues that teams enter, but what if my son's team doesn't enter into winter futsal leagues. Where can he join a team as an individual and get training. The other thread mentioned St. James and Alexandria. Any others? |
Depends where you live but there are several futsal clubs in NOVA and MD. |
| NOVA |
| Can someone provide a link for any in NOVA? We live in Vienna |
| I am interested too. Have a U12 DD in NOVA |
| Not NOVA but Bethesda takes individuals. If you are near the beltway it's not too bad on weekends. No idea on when training is, so that could well be a problem on weeknights. |

Puma Elite plays at the Dulles Sportsplex
Conquerors League plays up in Herndon Not sure of any others on the northern/western side of Fairfax County. |

I highly recommend Puma Elite if you’re serious about learning futsal. DD won State Cup last year l, Every age group for girls in Puma Elite won.
That says everything you need to know about a club. |
Let’s be clear. Puma Elite is FCV. Your DD will not be playing for State Cup unless they can displace an FCV kid. If that happens be prepared to be recruited hard to join FCV. PP is clearly an FCV parent. |

“That says everything you need to know about a club.“
LOL, typical FCV - half of a story. Wolf in sheep’s clothing. |
Don’t sign up to their league as an individual player for placement on a team. They took our money, did not place my kid, and never answered follow up emails asking for either placement or refund. |
YOu end up playing FCV over and over again...sprinkled in with sterling. |
If you can get Gus to train your DD, it's worth it. Rest of the coaches knew nothing about futsal or how to train/teach it. |
People are talking bad but can’t deny that Puma Elite did in fact win state cup on every level for girls

| I don't know about specific clubs, but I've seen futsal help certain kids. One thing to think about is how technically skilled your player is. How good is he/she at controlling the ball? I've seen non-technical kids play futsal and continually boot the ball or lose it each time because of a poor touch. I think that kids like that would benefit from private or small group technical training more than futsal. Futsal is technical and fast, so if you don't have some basic technical skills, you won't get much out of it. |
