Immersion blender

I use mine all the time, but it's a pain -- the mixing part doesn't detach and go in the dishwasher. Can you recommend an immersion blender you really like that comes apart and goes in the dishwasher? Thanks!

Mine doesn't detatch either -- but I just fill a glass with hot soapy water and immerse the blender in that and whir it around for a minute after I use it. It seems like that gets it perfectly clean; I do also wipe the blades a little bit first.

My immersion blender is a Braun. Works great, bottom detaches, and it is cheap. I think you can get them for under $30.

This is how I clean mine, too. Works like a charm.

OP here. Thanks. My husband does the dishes and he hates to clean the one we have. He sets it in the soapy water and leaves it there, so of course it falls over and sends soapy water flying all over the kitchen. The blender is also white, so pureeing tomato soup has left it an unlovely shade of orange. I'll look for the Braun. Thank you! Any other suggestions are certainly welcome.

Cuisinart. It detaches and goes in the dishwasher - major selling point for me!
