| We have a couple of lousy cheap ones from Modells. It's looking like we are in this for the long haul so if you have suggestions of good study comfortable chairs for watching kids' outdoor sports, please pass them along. I notice the parents on my kids' teams seem to have chairs that look more durable than the cheap seats. Thanks! |
| Sorry, that was meant to say "sturdy" not "study" |
| Look at how big the seat of the chair is. I just bought some, for casual use, but I realize the seat depth is pretty shallow. It's fine for what I need it for, but if I was going to be spending hours in it on the weekends, I'd want a bigger one. Of course the will be heavier too... |

I like the Kijaro chairs of all of those I have tried. They are comfortable and durable.
They also come in a larger size if you want that or are heavier. I also like the Sportbrella clip on umbrella. As a fair skinned person who hates heat, using this umbrella has made summer sporting events much more pleasant for me. Don't get one of the canopy chairs - we have never had one that lasted. |

This works for me. Lots of people have them:

Maybe 4-5 years ago, I got a ALPS Mountaineering King Kong Chair. I'm overweight and wanted a heavy duty chair that would last. The seat is pretty deep and I find it comfortable and it is holding up well.
At baseball games, I've seem some people with folding rocking chair. Looks interesting. I'm also interested in the ones that you don't fold up and put in a bag. Instead, they just fold up an maybe have straps?? But durability is my primary concern and the King Kong chair will probably never break or tear. |
Me again... the Kelsyus canopy chair that the PP posted is exactly the chair I was thinking about that doesn't have a bag. The Kong chair is also nice because it has 2 cup holder and multiple pockets to hold stuff. |

We've had this one for YEARS - very comfy and sturdy. I love the cooler pocket and the cup holders. Wish it had a shade canopy.

Renetto. You need to purchase through the website. Renetto.com
They are backpack style so easy to carry. They have a nice big sun shade, extremely comfortable and sturdy. But they are also the priciest chairs we’ve ever purchased so wait for a sale or coupon. |
| We have the Coleman too but I was just admiring someone else's REI one because a lot of it is mesh so it does better with rain/moisture. The dad told me they got that one because of swim but it seemed to be really practical for baseball and soccer too. |
I have this in blue from target and I l or it. |

We have some like this. A bit harder to carry, but quite sturdy. I usually flip it upside and put on my shoulder if I have to carry any distance.

| Must have a canopy. |
| We have the GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker Mesh Chair from Dick’s. Awesome chair. A bit heavy but if you’re spending hours at double headers totally worth it along with a small foldable wagon. We have a small 4-person canopy too. |
