what do you cook on Christmas Eve?

My family's tradition was always Italian Wedding Soup and potato pancakes.

Wondering what other people do?

On xmas eve I always make Beef Tenderloin, Horseradish mashed potatoes, and a sauteed veggie, brussel sprouts.
Its a tradition I made up in the last 5 years.

We have matzoh ball soup. Really. We go to church at 6 pm so it makes an elaborate dinner difficult. Many years ago we started going to Krupins on the way home. Then they were no longer open late enough on Christmas eve so we carried out. We do a big dinner/brunch on xmas day.

We have a seafood feast...lobster, scallops, shrimp. We each get our own bowl of melted butter that is in one of those candle heated trays...yum.

I make gumbo. I am continuing my Cajun family's tradition!
