Whole foods holiday catering?

Anonymous
I'm considering getting our Christmas dinner side dishes from Whole Foods. Does anyone have any experience with their holiday sides? Are they any good? Which ones did you order/like? I don't really cook, but I have some family members coming to town who consider themselves to be "gourmets," so I'm feeling some pressure!!! Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Are you in NW DC or close in MoCo? I think broad Branch Market has such better prepared foods. I have been consistently disappointed with WF Prep foods in general. Broad Branch is close to lafayette ES.

I agree with pp regarding WF. Not great.

I agree that WF is not great, but very adaquate. We have used their prepared foods for some our our holiday meals and it has been fine.

We got a combo of WF and Balducci's sides for Thanksgiving. WF was really bland and almost as expensive as Balducci's. Recommend the drive up to Bethesda to do Balducci's, esp since you have people coming over who are foodies. I am never doing WF for the holidays again.

I agree, WF sides are very bland and just not worth it.

We did Balduccis for Thanksgiving and were really happy with it.
