Period after HSG?—should I skip trying this month?

I posted in the TTC forum my first visit to the RE. I was on day 12 when I had the HSG done. The next day I had heavy clotting and what is almost a full period. The doctor did note in the ultrasound that my lining was very thick for day 12 and asked to confirm dates. I had just started the ClearBlue OPK so I’ve continued it and today it said I had high fertility. Assuming the period stops before peak fertility, should I wait until next cycle to even try? It seems unlikely implantation would occur but I’m worried that it would and then miscarry. So many people said they got pregnant after their HSG I’m a little bummed. Any thoughts?

I do not think there is any risk at all to try to conceive after an HSG. Wishing you luck!
