Clomid days 3-7 vs. 5-9

Can anyone explain the advantages / disadvantages? Thanks!

I have heard/read that the day 3 start can recruit more follicles while the later start date can give you better quality follicles, though not as many.

I'm not sure if that's really true, though.

I have NO problem responding to Clomid (really, I seem to respond too well!). I ovulate on my own, and I believe my problem is just egg quality (age). But when I asked my dr. about starting later in the hopes of not producing so many follicles but hopefully getting a few stronger ones, she said it wouldn't make any difference and she always starts on day 3 so she wanted me to stick with that.
