| What are your teen’s favorite dystopian books? |
| Hunger games. I don’t think they’ve ever found a series they liked better. |
| Mine has really been loving Scott Westerfelt's Uglies series. Also Ready Player One. |
|
The Road
Station 11 |
| On the Beach by Neville Schute. Old, but great. |
|
I'm reading the sequel to Handmaid's Tale now...its really good. I read Handmaid's Tale as a highschool freshman, and I loved it. The book is much, much, much less traumatic than the TV series. Its the same stuff, and its a gut punch llike most dystopia...but the TV series was much more graphic (I couldn't watch more than a few episodes).
So, if your teen isn't just 13, maybe Handmaids Tale and the sequel? |
The Road - for a teen or tween? srsly? |
NP. Yes, I don’t censor teens. The Program series is another good one |
I probably would have read the Road at 13. I read The Stand. You must not be from a family of readers. Station 11 is really good! |
| SnowCrash and Neuromancer. Take it to the cyberpunk level. |
