Hire a professional driver.
Three/four days pay and a return plane ticket, and your car gets delivered exactly where you want, exactly when you say. It’s really the only way that isn’t a chore somehow. No meeting the shipper at a terminal, no waiting on the car carrier truck to fill up before the car ships, no waiting a week while the truck goes all over dropping cars off before it gets to you. No going out in the middle of the night to meet the truck. |
| I had an older car. Many years ago I found a couple on CList. I had them sign a contract. I allowed a certain number of overage miles for them to see the country. They large camped. It took 3 weeks. I have them a clean car with a full tank of gas. They gave me $500 as a deposit and copies of licenses. 3 weeks later the car was across the county and delivered to me - after they filled the tank and washed it. It was a great experience. |

We used Montway. Very good experience. But they are a clearing house, I believe, meaning you are contractor dependent. The transport contractor that got our assignment was very good.
We were going to use them again for a second car, but this time it was in state and the dealership delivered it for us. |
| I feel like AAA provides this service. They used to anyway. |
