Infertility Support and Discussion
Does anyone know if the federal health spend "Flex Spend" account can be used for IVF co-pays? I know that MDIPA is one of the best plans around b/c it covers roughly 50% of cycle costs, but is it possible to use flex spend dollars for the other 50%?
You betcha! (Channeling Sarah Palin) Not only that, it covers things like acupuncture, mileage to/from appointments, etc.

Yes! if you can time this correctly it is a huge savings. Just don't get pregnant naturally between now and when you do the IVF in 2010 (which would certainly be a HUGE blessing from a fertility standpoint but pretty pricey in terms of $$ lost because it is tied up in flex spending dollars). It was always a leap of faith for us to put that much money (pretty much the max) into our flex spending account (knowing we would have to use it or loose it).
Yes, I did all mine that wa!!
OP here - wow, thanks ladies!
