Anyone head straight from infertility into early menopause?

Anonymous
I got pregnant on the first try at 35 and had an easy and healthy pregnancy. After that experience I never thought I would have infertility problems.

Started TTC #2 at 37. Five years and zero pregnancies later we decided to stop TTC. That's when I found out I was in peri-menopause (at 42). I'm 43 now and well into peri-menopause all signs are pointing to full-on menopause in the next year or so (based on my FSH and AMH and symptoms).

It feels really awful to go right from years of secondary infertility to extremely early menopause.

Anyone else relate?

Yep, except I was 30 when I got pregnant with my first and infertile at 33 when I started trying for my second. I'm 35 now and diagnosed as premature ovarian failure and having early perimenopause symptoms. Based on hormone levels, I'm projected to be done with menopause by 40-42.

I'm pissed, surprised, and also eternally grateful that I didn't wait a few years (like everyone else in DC it seems!) to have my first. It's so unfair.

Yes, and I was never able to have a baby. 20/20 hindsight, I would have probably only been able to.get pregnant had I met ND married my dh right after college in my early 20s.

Yes. At 40. I am absolutely positive that it had something to do with 8 IVF cycles that we did.
