Uugghh. Another disappointing loss. Why are they so afraid to play attacking soccer? They didn’t even try to shoot in the second half. Over passing and not a single player that is creative and aggressive and confident around the net. Even Pulisic, as good as he is, shrinks like a violet in the box. And someone please tell Stephen that he’s not a field player. Get the f’ing ball out of there. Composure is one thing, but stupidity is another. GB appears to be handcuffing his team. Even Seargent looked scared and belittled taking that PK. That is a confidence thing which starts with the coach. My guess is that he overemphasized mistakes vs. over emphasizing strengths, thus psychologically castrating their confidenece. He’s got to go.

Until they get a real coach, we can expect more of the same. How long do you need to figure out that Zardes is not good enough to play at international level even at CONCACAF? Aside from player selection, does this team have real identity and the style of play? Tata was hired to coach Mexico around the same time as GB, but his team looked a lot more cohesive and had real identity.

Yeah, Mexico outright sucked before Tata. We crushed them regularly. Or not.

Americans just suck at soccer compared to the rest of the world.

Gata should have been the coach

Wouldn’t have made a spit worth of difference. You can’t coach culture into American players. Maybe if “Gata” could recruit South Americans into the team like he did in MLS then things could be different. Give him the same players, the results will be similar.

Or you can, you know, select better American players. Hmm.

Good point. Pulisic sucks.
