I need to 'break up' with my current stylist. While he is great with color, his cuts are horrible. I've tried several times but it seems he is just not good with mastering long layers. My hair just looks uneven.
I need to find a stylist who is skilled at layers for thick hair (naturally curly but blow dried straight). Looking for NW DC recs or Arlington. TIA Signed Desperate Locks |

I go to a great place in Old Town not sure if that works for you.
Lorraine Aprile Salon ask for Lorraine or Angela, there are other people but I have not had them do my hair. The owner is from England and they have specials for new clients, please tell them Charlie sent you if you go 703 299 6100 |
| Paul at Serenity at Tenley--you will NOT be disappointed and it's only him so you'll be the only one there, which is so nice! He is great with layers, does a couple of very attractive newscasters, and is a GREAT person. |

Rovina at Salon Rovina in Arlington. It's been about 9 weeks since I've gotten highlights and I desperately need to go in but my hair cut still looks great. I have long layers and she does a great job.
Salon is at the intersection of Glebe and Lee. salonrovina.com |
| I had the same problem you did -- still feel sad about my old styllist-- she was lovely -- but I'm much happier with my haircut from Camille at Bogart in Georgetown. |
| Manuel salon in Georgetown, he is pricey but so worth it. amazing hair cuts and etc. look no forward! |
| Nuri Yurt, the owner of Toka in Georgetown. He's great with layers. |
| Dell at the Jouvence Aveda Salon in Pentagon City. My cuts always grow out so well, so I can wait a little longer in between visits. He's brilliant at color also. |

Each time I see this I read LAWYERS instead of LAYERS.
