Is Drivers Ed part of the MCPS curriculum?

Can't find any information about it. Sounds like families are on their own to enroll kids in MVA Certified Driving schools. Anyone?

No. You have to go with I Drive Smart, Greg's, Potomac Driving School, etc.

Back in the 80's it was offered in high school. These days you have to pay lots of money for your kid to learn how to drive.

Nope. You have to pay for a class outside of school.

It’s a liability considering the crazy traffic and drivers around here. I also remember when it was offered. I do think that certain schools could/should offer it.
Such as Poolesville, Sherwood and Paintbranch or Springbrook.

As with all things MCPS, if enough parents petition or complain loud enough they will answer. I remember when the school bells were moved, thank you to all the parents who contributed to that movement.
