My prefernce would be to use an ipod Touch for our flight, because it is smaller to carry than a DVD player + DVD discs. However, the ipod has such short battery life, and I'm looking to get a few more hours (since our flight will be over 10 hours).
Does anyone have any experience with extending battery life of ipod Touch or DVD player using spare battery chargers (such as ienergie to go) or battery charger (that hook up to the airplane headset jack)? I've seen a bunch of products, but not sure if they really work or whether they work on all planes? Do you have any specific brand/model that has worked for you? Thanks! |
you can buy external battery packs that easily attach to an ipod or touch - http://www.digitalmania-online.com/iPod-Battery-Backup.html
see if you can find out if the plane you'll be on has power sources available. I've seen ones like car cigarette lighters and regular AC outlets. It is very likely that the plan you'll be on will have these if it has been refurbished in the last few years. There is probably a travelers blog or site that lists which airlines and plane models have these.
Which of these works best?
most of the planes that fly that long have ac outlets just bring your charger!
buy an extra battery.
