| I have been off of a pill for two months now and still no period. I don’t have any other symptoms of PCOS. Is this normal or indicative of fertility issues? |
| It could be a lot of things so it’s best to contact your obgyn and they can run some tests. For me it was high prolactin due to a tiny tumor on my pituitary. I take some oral medication and it’s all good now. Before that they thought it might be hypothalamic amenorrhea. It could also be PCOS because not everyone has the classic symptoms. They might first prescribe some progesterone and see if you get a withdrawal bleed. |
Is this something to see an OBGYN about, or an RE? |
| It took my periods just over 6 months to come back after I went off the pill (9 years of being on it) to TTC. My OB said that was not abnormal. I now have two kids. It took a little while to conceive the first but I got pregnant with my second after a month of trying. |
I’d start with an OBGYN and they will refer you to an RE if necessary, mine did when I didn’t get a withdrawal bleed from progesterone. I’d probably wait until it’s been at least 3 months. It can take a little bit to kick start things, but it definitely shouldn’t take more than 6 months per my obgyn. |
